Villains Locations
Erik Larsen has created more than a hundred villains who have appeared in the
pages of Savage Dragon. Here's a look at the major players who have caused
havoc in the more recent issues:

The
Creator, once known as Johnny Redbeard, has made a profitable business out of
his ability to give powers to normal humans. The enormous headed, Creator
surround himself with his "creations", two-bit lackeys that obey his command.
Dragon has faced the Creator various times, once putting him in the hospital.

Damien Darklord is a super intelligent hybrid being (half
super-human and half Martian) whose motives are very unclear. Damien
Darklord is the result of experiments conducted on his mother (Superpatriot's
daughter, Liberty) by Martians during their attack on Earth (in the original
universe)
Darklord claimed to travel back through time so as to set a course to prevent
the Earth from being destroyed. His plans included "negating" the powers of all
superheroes on Earth. An older Darklord from the future was helping the
young Darklord implement this plan.
Unsure of Darklord's true motives, and weary of his methods (including
kidnapping, killing, and creating a "nega-bomb" to wipe out all super powers),
Dragon and a band of heroes attacked the Darklords. In the end Dragon killed the
young Darklord to prevent him from growing old and coming back from the future.
When Dragon attempted to crush young Darklord's skull, the villain used his
power to swap Dragon's consciousness with that of a Dragon from yet another
alternate Earth, this one dubbed the "Savage World" (the reality he now resides
in).

Not
from Dragon's original universe, and not from universe the Dragon resides in now
either, "Dark World" Dragon originates from another parallel universe where a
future Damien Darklord conquered the Earth. This parallel earth has been
dubbed "Darkworld"
Damien Darklord failed in his attempt to rule "Darkworld", as it was open to
attack by an intergalactic police force, called the Cosmic Cops. The Cosmic Cops
teleported the whole planet to an unknown point in the galaxy. The strain of the
teleportation was to much the alternate earth and the planet began to crumble--
heading towards certain mass destruction. In an effort to save the world he
ruled, Damien Darklord began swapping parts of Darkworld with the Earth from
Dragon's original reality. Dragon and other heroes were eventually able to
defeat Darklord and his Earth swapping plans, but not before some of the
residents of Darkworld were able to escape to Dragons world-- including the "Darkworld"
version of Dragon.
"Darkworld" Dragon went into hiding in Dragon's original reality, waiting for
the right moment to come out. When the infant Damien Darklord used his power to
send Dragon to an alternate reality (the one he now resides in), "Darkworld"
Dragon came out of hiding to take the place of our hero without anyone realizing
it.
Years later, Dragon was able to return to his original reality with the help of
a portal created by the Eternal Youths. When he returned to his original
reality, Dragon found out that "Darkworld" Dragon had taken his place. Shocked
and irritated that Dragon had found his way back, "Darkworld" Dragon
engaged our hero in a long, brutal fight. Our hero was able to defeat the
villain by sending him into the Void while fighting in Rex Dexter's laboratory.
"Darkworld" Dragon, now trapped in the Void, has caused much havoc since. At one
point, the villain committed genocide on the beings of Mr. Glum's home world.
Dragon has since engaged "Darkworld" Dragon once more while traveling in the
Void. Dragon was somewhat saved by Mr.Glum and transported out of the Void,
again leaving the villain trapped in the dimension.

Once a member of the Vicious Circle, Sebastian Khan had the powerful
ability to manipulate technology. This ability gave him the strength to stop an
alien police force, known as the Cosmic Cops, as well as a Martian army from
conquering the Earth. Khan then used his power to control the alien technology
and conquer the Earth himself. Khan became the ruler of the Earth, causing
governments to fall under his might thus crating anarchy over much of the world
where many of the strongest "freaks" were allowed to roam and terrorize humans.
Dragon was eventually able to stop Khan with the help of old friends and
unlikely allies such as the older Vicious Circle members who also wanted
to see the madman taken down. Khan was kept a prisoner is space by Vanguard
until his robotic assistant, Wally, killed Khan in fear.

Although
the exact circumstances are unknown, it has been revealed that a man named Lou
Drumm was mauled by a shark in the heart of a ground zero. Instead of dying,
this rather unattractive man had his appearance further ruined when he mutated
into a shark-man. now known as Mako, he became a career criminal, hooking up
with the Vicious Circle gang in Chicago.
During a jail breakout, Mako saved the super heroine, Dart, from sexual assault
by a fellow gang member. Mako was targeted for his betrayal
but he managed to take Dart with him to an uncharted island in the Coral
Sea. About this time massive alien invasions occurred on Earth leading
Cyberface to take over the world. Mako, falling for Dart, indulged in
a bit of a lie by telling the heroine that the aliens eradicated
civilization. Being alone on the island and thankful that Mako was her
saviour the two began a relationship.
Dart remained happily on this island
home for years until three super humans washed up on the beach, having had
their makeshift raft destroyed by a sea monster. The survivors--Barbaric,
Horridus and Ricochet; pointed out to Dart that humanity still existed,
although the world was under the control of the insanely powerful CyberFace.
Knowing that he could not keep his
lover on this island, Mako steals an Atlantean vessel that takes them all
back to the United States. Dart eventually breaks-up with Mako due to the
falsehoods she had been told.
Mako grew desperate without Dart and abducted her back to the Coral Sea
island . Dragon was informed of the kidnapping and confronted Mako on his island. A fight
ensued and Dart was fatally wounded by Mako when he mistakenly thought that
it was Dragon approaching him. Mako has since sworn vengeance against Dragon
blaming him for Darts death.

Due
to his fairly comical appearance, Powerhouse grew up experiencing the
emotional pain of being different. After a childhood spent avoiding the
racial slurs and other insults caused by his look, Powerhouse joined up with
Chicago’s notorious Vicious Circle.
Powerhouse was able to rise to prominence when
CyberFace assumed control of the Vicious Circle. He soon became a valued
lieutenant to the super villain as he seized command over the whole globe.
Unfortunately, this position of power was not to last as it was determined
that Powerhouse was not a mutant but actually the descendant of a god.
Allgod, leader of all gods, mandated that no gods were to leave the city of
Godworld. The Gods abducted Powerhouse and brought him to Godworld
were he remains a resident.

Not
much is known about the gigantic alien being known as Universo. What is known is
that Universo travels the universe in search of planets to feed upon and satisfy
his hunger. Universo has a herald, Mother Mayhem, that scouts out planets
suitable for him to devour.
When Universo attempted to eat the Earth, Dragon thwarted him by blasting him
with a martian shrinking ray (leftover from when the martians previously attacked
the Earth). After shrinking Universo down to almost human size, Dragon was able
to knock him out. Dragon's alien ally, Vanguard , was then able to imprison
Universo and drag him back out to outer space.
Although, Dragon was able to defeat the Universo of his current reality, in
Dragon's old reality (the one he left behind) he wasn't there to stop the
alternate Universo to destroying it. Everyone from Dragon's old reality was
destroyed by Universo, with the exception of Malcolm Dragon and a handful of
others who were tossed into the Void by mysterious figures before the Earth was
destroyed.

A
mafia of "freaks" (a term used to describe someone with powers) from
Chicago who have a long history of spreading violence and corruption. Many of
the old members--some of Dragon's biggest foes, are being pushed out of the
Vicious Circle by a new regime of younger villains.
